Asheville Beer Week is upon us! Are you ready? Packed with over 40 brewery events and over 20 new beer releases, there is definitely something for everybody here. Ranging from expert talks, brewery tours, special dinners, to beer festivals, ABW2018 is has a lot going on every day from Thursday May 24th to Saturday June 2nd. We’ve put together a few of the highlights for this coming week of events that are sure to be fun.
Thursday May 24th
Kick-off AVL Beer Week with a Thirsty Thursday Baseball Game & Safe-Ride Shuttle with Leap Frog Tours
Yes, Asheville Beer Week officially starts on Friday, May 25, but why wait until then to enjoy great craft beer?! Kick-off your Beer Week experience with an Asheville Tourists’ Thirsty Thursday baseball game and $2.00 craft beers.
Have fun. Be Responsible. Leave the driving to Leap Frog Tours on our Thirsty Thursday shuttle.

Friday May 25th
Highland Brewing AVL Beer Week Brut Hop Champagne Release
Highland Brewing will release its most recent small batch in celebration of the 7th annual Avl Beer Week, The Brut Hop Champagne. This is a crisp tropical beer with hints of mango, pineapple and stone fruit dry hopped with Azacca, Ekuanot and Hallertau Blanc. Tapping on Friday, May 25th! Come grab a pint in the tasting room before it runs out!

Saturday May 26th
Gathering Of The Goses
Join us for our very first Gathering of the Goses Festival! Twin Leaf will be showcasing 5 delicious small batch goses on tap AND releasing our first bottle collaboration with our friends at Bhramari Brewing Company! This margarita-inspired collaboration beer was brewed with kaffir leaves, lime basil and lemongrass, then aged in tequila barrels for 7 months! Existential RhythmBarrel-Aged Gose will be available on draft and in bottles, at both Twin Leaf Brewery and Bhramari Brewing Company for your enjoyment!
In addition, we will be pairing all 5 specialty small batch goses with 5 specialty mini doughnuts from DoughP Doughnuts, for one truly tasty Beer & Doughnut Pairing Flight!
This is a true celebration of the senses and everything sour, salty, sweet, and savory! Get your taste buds ready!
Sunday May 27th
Mills River Brewery and Ecusta Brewing Co. AVL Beer Week Collaboration Release
Mills River Brewery and Ecusta Brewing Company have joined forces to create a delicious New England Session IPA, brewed specifically for AVL Beer Week. An easy drinking beer brewed with Citra and Belma hops, on tap at both Ecusta and Mills River Brewery Sunday May 27th.

Roll’n For Beers: A Benefit For Blue Ridge Rollergirls, Featuring UniHorn at Asheville Music Hall
Asheville Music Hall Presents an early evening of socialization and fundraising for the Blue Ridge Rollergirls. We will be spotlighting Hi-Wire’s delightful flagship brews and many more local and national beers. Music will be provided by UniHorn. They are one of Asheville’s best funk groups. Members from Dub Kartel, Empire Strikes Brass, Laura Reed and Deep Pocket, and more make up this power group. Tunes from 6:30-8:30pm. Donations only. All ages. Proceeds of the event will go to the Blue Ridge Rollergirls.

Burial Beer Co. AVL Beer Week Brett IPA Release
To fully celebrate the spirit of Asheville, Burial will release a funky Brett IPA. This rustic, full-bodied IPA is brewed with a blend of pale barley, local wheat and lactose…truly a blend of both worlds. Tapping Tuesday, May 29th,
Wednesday May 30th
Barleywine Release at Eurisko Beer Co.
It’s finally time! We’re releasing our first Barleywine – Mops and Brooms.
Expect notes of toffee, caramel, turbinado sugar, and a hint of booze. This is not one to miss!
